E-MAIL RESPONSES

Dear Euilleam

RACE is interested in seeing Invergordon move forward politically, socially and economically. RACE will do all that it can to contribute to success. We have received a list of priorities from various parties within the town - and there seems to be substantive agreement on most of these, if not all. Therefore, where possible, we will act as appropriate in support of the bodies by which the town is represented to further these priorities. It is not within our remit to decide which is the most appropriate body; that is up to the leaders of the town themselves. I don't think it would be helpful or appropriate to comment on the views of particular individuals in this context. I hope it will be possible to continue to deal with one or more representative bodies

Yours sincerely, Maitland Hyslop.

Hi Maitland,

Thank you for your e-mail reply. Can I assume that your blue coloured font has no political significance? I see nothing wrong with RACE supporting properly constituted groups in Invergordon, provided it is done in an open and honest manner, unlike in the past.

Take for instance the I.D.I. apparently they accept membership from as far away as Alness. Do you want Alness residents influencing Invergordon? I certainly don't.

When you say 'the leaders of the town' do you mean the democratically elected community council and the like elected Highland Councillor J. R. Connell?

Regards and success in your quest.

Euilleam.

Good Afternoon Euilleam,

I have responded to Donnie directly.

The one thing we as a group dispute are his claims re the behaviour of Marion Rhind & Marion Mackay.

As with all community group guidelines this response has been reached after consultation with all the group members present at the meeting.

Best Regards, Martin.

Hi Martin,

Are you calling the Chairman of the Invergordon Community Council a liar? Remember Highland Councillor J. R. Connell was a witness.

Regards. E.

Hi Euilleam,

I think it best that you wait until Donnie receives his response before you ask these questions I think it only right that the Chair of the I.C.C. be afforded the courtesy to be in receipt of the letter first.

I can not vouch for John or Donnie's interpretation of the events and can only speak for my own as can the rest of the group.

Regards, Martin.
