COMMUNITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

The Invergordon Community Council Chairman, Donald MacKenzie, said in a letter of resignation to I.D.I. Chairman Martin Rattray, what he (Mr MacKenzie) personally believed the conduct of some members of the I.D.I. committee was unacceptable.

The C. C. Chairman is quoted as writing;

"This was brought about by, what I personally believe, was unacceptable conduct by I.D.I. Members; Marion Rhind and Marion Mackay towards me. Further in my opinion, the two had taken exception to the newly published Invergordon Community Council's Journal and the fact that the I.D.I. was not consulted prior to publication. Clearly it appeared that they believed it could possibly compromise the future community news-sheet they have been planning since some considerable time."
