UNIDENTIFIED LEVIATHAN

For those readers of the ‘Highlander’ who watched the futile attempts of the would be rescuers trying to turn the Bottle Nosed Whale, stranded in the Thames last month, back out to sea, just proved the futility of trying to save beached leviathans.

Due to their colossal bulk, whales need the support of unbridled water, otherwise their body tissue begins to compact and the longer or more often their bodies come into contact with Terra Firma, even below the water level, the less their chances are of living. The attempt at saving Willy came to naught. Will the attempt at saving Wee Donnie have the same end result?

Now you may ask ‘what has that episode got to do with Invergordon?’ Well I believe we have an unidentified leviathan of destruction in our midst, apparently hell bent on the upsetting of the town’s stability, both socially and democratically and the end result may be a drop in the already diminishing High Street trade.
