DEAR CLLR CONNELL

Dear Cllr Connell,

Perhaps you are not acquainted with horse racing, and if you are not, let me tell you that once upon a time there was a very famous animal named “Out of the Blue”.

Well out of the blue this afternoon I had a visit from Highland Council employee, Sonny Rhind.

Mr Rhind was complaining about receiving an unsolicited copy of the ‘Highlander’ through his letter box, he then pointed out that he deliberately did not read the epistle. I said that the envelope containing the news-sheet was addressed to both he and his wife. Mr Rhind did admit that Marion read the item so I was at a loss to understand his intrusion into my privacy.

Mr Rhind brought up in conversation both your name and that of the Community Council Chairman, Donald MacKenzie and how he (Rhind) was prepared to listen to constructive conversation re Invergordon.

Who the hell does Sonny Rhind think he is? Mr Rhind is a Saltburn resident and the village has its own C. C. so why the hell does he not direct his energies towards enhancing Saltburn?

Eventually I got so pissed of listening to his waffle that I actually told him to “piss off.” But not before I questioned him on whether he supported the anonymous hate e-mail that has come here. Mr Rhind said he was not in favour of such mail!

THE PLOT THICKENS

Feel free to pass this e-mail on.
My Regards.
Euilleam Ross.
